WPC (Whey Protein Concentrate) – is a milk-derived protein obtained in micro or ultrafiltration processes. The purpose of the processes is to maximise the use of the product so that losses are minimal. The WPC-type whey proteins contain approximately 60-80% whey. The rest is milk sugar (lactose) and a small amount of fat. A great advantage of such proteins is their high content of EAA essential amino acids, i.e. those that need to be provided with food. It contains a high dose of BCAAs, or branched-chain amino acids, that is:
