ALLNUTRITION GARCINIA CAMBOGIA (Malabar tamarind extract) is standardized to 60% hydroxycitric acid (HCA). This acid is a specific inhibitor of the enzyme citrate lyase, thereby reducing the availability of acetyl-CoA for the process of fatty acid synthesis. The use of preparations containing this extract may help suppress appetite, limit food intake, inhibit fatty acid synthesis, and increase glycogen synthesis in the liver.
