CLA + L-CARNITINE + GREEN TEA is a dietary supplement for physically active people containing conjugated linoleic acid (CLA), L-carnitine and green tea extract.
CLA means conjugated linoleic acid. Linoleic acid is an organic chemical compound from the group of unsaturated fatty acids of the omega-6 type. In the organism, linoleic acid is metabolised to a number of substances essential for correct metabolic function. Conjugated linoleic acid has a broad pro-health effect. In addition, linoleic acid helps to maintain normal blood cholesterol levels.
L-carnitine is a vitamin-like substance with an important physiological role, naturally occurring in foods of animal origin and synthesized in the human body from the amino acids lysine and methionine. It is present primarily in muscle tissue and the heart, as well as in nervous tissue. During exercise, the body primarily draws energy from unnecessary fat tissue and effectively burns even the most resistant fat. It is L-carnitine which takes part in the metabolism of lipids, acting as a specific transporter of long-chain fatty acids to the cell mitochondria, thus enabling their combustion and energy production. In addition, carnitine ensures an appropriate ratio of acetyl-CoA to CoA in cells and exhibits antioxidant activity. The carnitine derivative acetyl-carnitine is also a donor of acetyl groups for the synthesis of acetylcholine - an important neurotransmitter.
